Shaping Your Story
How we honour those who have passed and how we look back and reflect on their lives is a central tenant of the grieving and healing process.
My commitment is to work collaboratively and sensitively with clients to create and deliver a unique and loving farewell ceremony that meets the emotional and cultural needs for you and your family.
Over a decade ago now, I designed my Mum's funeral service to celebrate her life and all the magic she brought to those people who were her family and friends.
Since this time, I have worked with many friends to help them design funeral services and life celebrations for their loved ones and create eulogies that tell the story of the moments that mattered in their loved one's life including photo tributes and rituals that have featured in the ceremony and provided comfort long after that day has passed.
Sometimes we know death is coming, to the extent we've even prepared for it and sometimes it's very sudden.
Whatever you particular situation is, I will channel all my experience into helping you create the story that captures the essence of the life you/they have lived in a way that's meaningful and personal and I look forward to working with you.
Designing the Service
As an authorised Marriage Celebrant, I design and deliver services for life celebrations, memorials and ashes scatterings.
My role as your Celebrant is to design and deliver a ceremony that honours the life of your loved one and everything they brought to this world.
Each family is different and will have views and ideas about how the life of their loved one is best acknowledged. Civil services for funerals are now widely accepted in the Australian community as an alternative to the traditional church service.
For some families, it will be a private service and burial or cremation followed by a memorial for a wider group of family and friends. For others they will choose to hold a service and burial or cremation together.
My intention is to provide the families I work with the necessary information to create a ceremony that meets their needs and fulfills their expectations. A civil funeral ceremony has a lot of flexibility to incorporate as few or as many elements that best capture your the life of your loved one.
I will work with you to establish who I need to liaise with from your family members, friends and your appointed funeral director. I'll lead the ceremony in accordance with your wishes, with the appropriate professionalism, dignity and presentation and I'll deliver my support, assistance and information in an empathetic and timely way as we prepare this day for you and your family.
As an accredited Marriage Celebrant, I am required to maintain a high standard of service
in my professional conduct and practice and I can deliver a life celebration in almost any location in Australia.
